Why can't Ohio State fans accept that the N.C. game is not attainable this year?

My question will probably get removed because it's anti-Ohio State.





Why can't you guys accept the fact that it's OVER this year as far a as a National Championship? Like this question:

Face it, you did better than you were supposed to do this season. You got ranked #1 by default pretty much.





Just take your season and move forward.

Guns1965- Your statement about SEC teams refusing to play Big 10 teams is as laughable as it is ridicules. Where do you come up with some of the ignorant BS that you repeatedly spew? The fact of the matter is, LSU's nonconference schedule included a VT team that is currently ranked in the top 10. Who exactly did OSU play? They have played one team in the top 25, Wisconsin. That is it.





OSU will not make the title game. That means we can all breathe a sigh of relief because we have a chance to watch a decent NC game this year.

Reply:i am an ohio state and i realize that our chance of playing for nc game are pretty much slim to none. we did have a great year of football despite the loss to illnois but thats the way it goes. and you are right no one expected us to have such a great year it was a pleasant surprise. considering we lost nine players and we have a pretty new qb. not mad not disappointed just happy to have had a great season.

Outside of the SEC who has the SEC teams played,,, look at the schedule they play very similar non-conf games,, 1 BCS con opponent 2 or 3 mid majors,,, maybe 1 div1AA in place of the 3rd mid major. So quit the hating on the big 10- they are as strong a conference as any.





As for making this years NC? It is an outside chance a lot of things have to happen, but nothing that is unthinkable.





LSU loss in SEC title game... very possible


Oregon loss to Oregon ST.... not as possible but not impossible since it is rivalry


Kansas, Oklahoma, Mizzou..... it is a lock 2 of 3 will lose and possible that all 3 will.


WVA- they have to play UConn yet who has proven to be a good team this year.


IF 5 of the 6 teams above lose Ohio St should be ranked at #2 and in NC,,, if all of them do,,, :) OHio STate vs Arizona ST in the NC is a real possibility. So dont count the chickens till the eggs are hatched.
Reply:Because its easy to be in denial in the Big-10 (Michigan and Ohio State) when you play nobody outside of your conference. Maybe Ohio state should put 1 or 2 SEC teams on their schedule if they want to be in the big game. A Big-10 (which has 11 teams) team should never play in the championship game if it has 1 loss.
